Apartment prices in Lithuania - down 1.8% in September
The Ober-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI) for September of this year shows that apartment prices in the five major Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, and Panevezys) have gone down 1.8% (in August, a monthly decrease of 3.3% was registered).
The OHBI value registered in September shows that over the past 12 months apartment prices have dropped 30.3% (in August, the annul price decrease was 30.0%).
Compared with the highest summarised apartment price level, which was reached in December 2007, apartment prices in the major Lithuanian cities have dropped 35.5%. The smallest decrease in prices (25.4%) was registered in Kaunas, and the highest was registered in Klaipeda (41.2%). Similar results were recorded in Vilnius, Siauliai, and Panevezys (37.4%, 36.5%, and 38.7% respectively).
