Ober-Haus opens in Ukraine

Kiev, Ukraine, January 2007 – Ober-Haus Real Estate Company, the largest full service property agency in Central Europe with 35 offices in the region, officially opens its first office in Kiev this January.

Residential relocation services for international clients are the most in demand, including both rentals and sales through the Ober-Haus English speaking staff. Many international companies are now opening offices or buying companies in Ukraine, and they are sending expat workers and managers to Kiev. Ober-Haus provides relocation services for these customers, including finding homes and helping with other relocation issues.

Commercially, Ober-Haus leases office and retail space to its international business clients.

“Some of those clients come from traditional West European countries,” says Ober-Haus Managing Director Peter Gage Morris, “but many are now Polish or Baltic companies - which we have been serving for years - moving into Ukraine.”

Valuation services are also being offered by Ober-Haus, which has been approved by local and international banks, like SEB, which are already working in Ukraine.

Of course, most Ober-Haus clients are local Ukrainian companies and individuals, who are buying property or looking for commercial space.

Ukraine was a natural target for Ober-Haus, said Mr. Morris, because of its population of 48 million and its ongoing integration, one way or the other, into the European economy. Kiev alone, with over 3 million people, is larger than some of the countries Ober-Haus is are already in.

Ober-Haus officially opens in January with a total of ten property agents, managers and valuators. The office has already served clients since November, providing residential and commercial property leasing, as well as certified property valuations. The multi-lingual staff speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English. The number in Kiev is +380 44 287 8770.

Ober-Haus Real Estate Advisors is the largest regional property agency, with 35 offices and over 300 professionals working across Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and now Ukraine.
